Bahamani Kingdom Of Gulbarga (1347–1527 AD)

The transfer of capital from Delhi to Daulatabad by Muhammad III Bin Tuglaq was significant event in the history of Deccan . The highway constructed by the sultan to connect Delhi with Daulatabad was first of its kind in the history of India , and brought  to the Deccan ,poets, sages and savants like Mir Hasson ,Hazrat Burhan -ud-din and Syed Raju . The centurions ,appointed by Muhammad  Bin Tuglaq for the administration of hundreds of villages, were the real history makers.

Under the leadership of Ismail Mukh , then named as Nasir-Ud-din Ismail Shah ,these centurions revolted against  Muhammad  Bin Tuglaq . And later on , Hasan Gangoo founded the Sultanates oGulbarga which ruled the region for 185 years . Finally the sultanates broke into five offshoots , viz., Ahmadnagar Berar , Bidar, Bijapur and Golkonda sultanates.
